One of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures, a breast augmentation, enlargement or 'boob job' is chosen by women for a variety of different reasons, including things like breast tissue failing to develop during puberty or excessive shrinking (atrophy) after childbirth. Breast surgery involves the insertion of a silicone implant into a specifically selected position or ‘pocket’ under the breast in order to achieve the desired size and shape.
A short stay in hospital will be required and results should be visible within a couple of weeks once the bruising and swelling has subsided. Following surgery most patients find that they have a new or renewed confidence, often feeling much more feminine.
