Tubular breast correction is a cosmetic surgical procedure aimed at improving the shape of breasts of an abnormal shape. Tuberous breasts are an inherited condition and in some cases the nipple can also be misshapen. The procedure undertaken largely depends on the shape of the breasts and desired results.
The constructive tissues of the base of the breast is released and an implant inserted to give the breast a more natural, fuller appearance, or an expandable implant can be used that is inserted and expanded on a weekly basis that gradually stretches the skin tissue after which corrective surgery may be used to reposition the nipple.
What can Dr. Michael do to correct tuberous breasts?
Dr Michael can improve breast size, shape and symmetry that will compliment your frame and stature as naturally as possible.
Is the Tuberous breast correction the same as breast augmentation?
No. The two are very different. However a tuberous breast correction surgery often requires a breast augmentation incorporated in the procedure when necessary.
What technique is used to carry out the tuberous breast correction?
At Michael Medispa we are using mainly the ‘dual-pane’ technique. A portion of the implant can be placed beneath the muscle (sub-muscular augmentation) and the rest under the breast gland (Sub-glandular augmentation)
